Saucy is a sweet, spunky girl with a loyal heart. She tends to pick her favorite person and happily sticks by their side. She loves affection and has a playful spirit, very much reflecting her young-adult energy. Energy Level? Moderate House trained? Yes Describe how they are on leash? She is well mannered on leash and generally walks nicely. She may pull a bit when she catches an interesting scent and wants to investigate. She can be somewhat cautious when unfamiliar people approach while she is on leash, becoming a little nervous, but she does not bark or react. Describe how they are with other dogs? Saucy does very well with other dogs. She is not reactive and enjoys meeting new canine friends. She integrated smoothly with our resident dogs from day one and has also done well with our family members’ three dogs. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Saucy would be fine living with a cat. When first rescued, she met a cat and did well, showing no chasing or reactive behavior. She also regularly sees cats while out on walks and remains calm and unbothered. Additionally, she showed no reaction to a parakeet at our family’s home. Commands they know? Sit, working on stay. Knows inside means crate time. What are their favorite things? She loves chew toys and does best with durable options, as plush toys do not stand much of a chance. Tougher toys like Kong products are ideal for her. Her favorite is her Kong ball, and when filled, it keeps her happily occupied and calm for a good amount of time. She also loves going for walks What do they need to work on? She would thrive with continued positive socialization to help build her confidence around new people. She is also learning that resources like water are always available and may need management in multi-dog settings while she works through some competition around shared water bowls. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? She handles alone time well and relaxes comfortably in her crate, usually napping when left for short periods. We have left her crated for up to two hours with no issues. Otherwise, she spends her days happily alongside our resident dogs. Where do they sleep? She sleeps in her crate/pen. What is their ideal home?She would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who can give her plenty of attention and spoil her with toys and treats. She enjoys nice moderate walks, but a secure backyard to explore and play in would also suit her well, especially since she is great at finding ways to entertain herself. She has done well with kids and other pets. |

Gizmo is very youthful, perky, and energetic. LOVES to play with his toys and wrestle with small dogs. Loves to run around. Sniffs everything while out on walks. When he finally settles down, he's very affectionate and cuddly. Enjoys lap time while I'm at the computer. He is a good couch snuggler while watching movies. Food motivated (after a while, he even started liking some fresh fruits/veggies as a snack). Energy Level? Med to High House trained? Yes Describe how they are on a leash? Good once he's on leash, but he thinks getting harnessed is a game, so it can be a little challenging. He is still a bit of a flight risk, Describe how they are with other dogs? While on walks, he growls at bigger dogs, but when he gets close to friendly dogs, he was ok. He loves to play with other energetic small dogs. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Don't know about cats. Will chase squirrels/birds if given the chance. Commands they know? He knows 'no'. We are working on 'stay' when we wait to cross a street (on leash), and he gets it. What are their favorite things? His favorite things are stuffed toys, sniffing things while on walks, and food What do they need to work on? He is a bit too interested in passersby and dogs during our walks. We are working on getting him to focus on us. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? I work at home, so he isn't alone much, but I think he would do ok being alone for a few hours. Had in/out privilege, and he ended up sitting in the sun, chewing on his toy. Where do they sleep? He sleeps in his crate. What is their ideal home? An active home with other (energetic) dogs. Loves interacting and loves to run. Preferably has room for zoomies. Need to make sure he does not bolt while getting used to his new home, because he loves running. He is a great little dog. |

Max is a super sweet, tender-hearted pup who is looking for a patient, loving home. While he may be timid at first—often preferring to watch the world go by from a cozy, safe spot—he has a heart of gold and is incredibly gentle when he warms up. Energy Level? Medium House trained? No, we keep him in a pen with potty pads when we can take him outside. But he is smart and very eager to please his human. He will get it in no time with consistency. Describe how they are on a leash? He is not used to walking on a leash, but is much better with a harness. Max does not like being pulled by his neck with just a collar. Currently, I have fastened the Martingale collar to the harness in order to be able to practice walking on a leash for his safety. Describe how they are with other dogs? Max is friendly and great with other dogs. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Max is great with the resident dog. I have found them snuggling together on the couch. He has passed the cat test and would be fine with cats. Commands they know? Max comes when you call him, but he hasn't had much training and would definitely benefit from basic training. What are their favorite things? Cuddles, hanging out outside, playing with plushy toys, and mealtimes. What do they need to work on? Building confidence, basic training, and leash training. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? Max sleeps when he is left alone. He may cry for a few minutes at first, but he stops within 5 minutes. The longest time I have left Max at home is 5 hours, and he did just fine. Where do they sleep? Max sleeps on his bed in his xpen. What is their ideal home? With patience and consistency, sweet Max would do great with any family. |

Kobi is a super sweet guy who is very loving and really smart. He is also a hugger. He is about 2- 3 years old and about 15 lbs with short legs. He catches on to what you are telling him fast and responds pretty quickly to it. He is also a great watchdog. He will bark when he hears noises near his home, so he would not do well in an apartment building. He gets along great with all the dogs in his foster home and settled into the pack in a week. Kobi loves to run around with the ball in the yard, sunbathe, and do the zoomies. In the house, he likes to sit next to you and keep you company wherever you are. He is a loyal little guy, and you matter most in his life. He loves to be held like a baby and will stay like that as long as you want. He is good with older dog-savvy children, but he can get annoyed if they do not leave him alone when he wants to be and will grump. He is a good boy who just has a lot to say. Kobi is house-trained, walks well on a leash, rides in the car well, sleeps in his own bed, and loves to be covered! He mostly just hangs out, and he would be a good addition to a home with another or multiple dogs. Enzo is a super sweet and loving pup. He needs a little time and patience, go slow and let him come to you. Once he trusts you, his goofy, affectionate personality will shine through and completely melt your heart. One of his cutest quirks? If you howl, he’ll “sing” right along with you — it’s absolutely adorable! Energy Level? Medium House trained? Yes. I would say he can hold his potty for up to 8 hours. He will let you know if he has to go by walking over to the door. If you don't take him out right away, he will run to you, then run back to the door until you take him out. Describe how they are on a leash? At first, he was afraid of the leash and would freeze when I put it on. Now he walks twice a day and has learned that it's not so scary. At times, he needs some gentle encouragement to continue to walk. He is getting more comfortable each day. Describe how they are with other dogs? Enzo is great with other dogs. He ignores most, but he will sometimes find one that he wants to play with. It's adorable when he does. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Enzo has met one cat. He was very curious. Slow introductions on leash would be advised. Commands they know? He does not know any commands yet, but is working on the sit command. What are their favorite things? He does well and mostly sleeps. Where do they sleep? On his dog bed, but he's also allowed on the bed. He is a great snuggler. What is their ideal home? Enzo would do great in a calm, patient home. He gets along well with gentle children, adults, and other mellow dogs, but can feel overwhelmed by dogs that play too roughly. His perfect family will give him time to build confidence and continue working with him on daily walks. Enzo travels well in the car when crated — it helps him feel safe and secure.
